Tax, Forza Italia: "The League wants the scrapping? If there is money, but first comes the tax cut for the middle class"

Tax, Forza Italia: "The League wants the scrapping? If there is money, but first comes the tax cut for the middle class"

"It is not news that Forza Italia, in the definition of the 2025 Budget Law at the end of the year, requested a cut in Irpef from 33 to 35% for average incomes up to 50, 60 thousand euros. The operational decision was postponed until spring in order to precisely identify the necessary sums . After the interventions already implemented by the government in favor of the lowest incomes, it is undoubted that families with incomes defined as average are the category that has suffered the most from the increase in costs, losing purchasing power. It is therefore a duty not only for Forza Italia to intervene and give them the relief possible, keeping in mind the stability of the State accounts". With these words, the leader of Forza Italia in the Chamber of Deputies Paolo Barelli , interviewed by Affaritaliani.it , answers the question of whether the party led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister Antonio Tajani shares the request of the League to approve the new scrapping of 120 equal installments as soon as possible or whether for the Azzurri the economic priorities are different.

"We are working on this with the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) and with the vice minister Maurizio Leo who promptly expressed it just yesterday. Regarding the new scrapping Forza Italia is clear . If the state coffers are able to absorb this cost, why should it be against it. We have obtained favorable opinions from international observers regarding our economic and financial health and it will be the MEF that will establish whether further spending availability is possible. If this is the case, let's sit down with the allies and talk about it. The cut in Irpef from 35 to 33% for average incomes for Forza Italia remains a priority already decided by the government ", concludes the president of the Forza Italia deputies.
